About me
My name is Kory Ulle, I graduated from California State University San Marcos in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry with a focus on science education. I completed the single subject credential program from CSUSM in 2017. I have identified my personal teaching philosophy is a cross between existentialism and progressivism. I believe that a teacher’s role in the classroom is to help facilitate the students personal growth in a manner that will help the students grow into healthy happy adults that are prepared for the constantly changing world. My top three personal intelligences are Intrapersonal, Naturalist, and Kinesthetic. This means that I have a strong ability to reflect on my own experiences, I enjoy nature and the outdoors, and that I am comfortable with body movement and staying active. I have discovered that my true colors personality color is green. Meaning that I ask lots of questions and enjoy the challenge of exploring open ended questions. When I was a student, I was definitely a high achieving student. I struggled with schooling, mainly because things often moved too slow, and many times I would find myself acting out due to boredom. As a teacher I feel that students will benefit from my past experiences due to the fact that I understand that not all students are created equal, and these differences will require some differentiation in instruction. I believe I will be able to create lessons in which the low achieving students will get the help the need, and the high achieving students will get the challenges they desire.
